Sam's platform
The Issues
Sam Guerrero is running on a clear, working-class agenda — built in Milwaukee, for Milwaukee. Here's where he stands.
Economic Growth & Good Jobs
Milwaukee was built by tradespeople, small business owners, and working families who showed up every single day. I fought alongside food truck owners when the city tried to shut them down at 10 PM — and I'll keep fighting for every entrepreneur and blue-collar worker who just wants a fair shot. We grow this economy from the ground up, not from the top down.
My plan →
Sam's plan
- Cut red tape for food trucks, street vendors, and neighborhood small businesses — let people work
- Back trade unions and apprenticeship programs — blue-collar jobs built this city and they'll rebuild it
- Repeal the gas emissions tax — stop punishing working families and small business owners at the pump
- No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. You earned it — you keep it
Working Families First
Parents — not bureaucrats — know what's best for their children. I support every family's right to choose the education path that works for them, whether that's public school, charter school, or homeschool. And inside MPS, we need real mental health resources and a serious conversation about the damage social media is doing to our kids.
My plan →
Sam's plan
- Champion school choice — charter schools, homeschool families, and parents who know what's right for their kids
- Put mental health counselors in every MPS school — our kids are struggling and they deserve real help
- Hold social media platforms accountable for the harm they cause children — protect kids, not algorithms
- Invest in community support networks — churches, nonprofits, and neighbors who show up when families need it most
Washington D.C.
Learning from the best. Bringing it home to District 9.
Community Investment
Our neighborhoods deserve the same investment as the suburbs. Sam will push for state funding that reaches Milwaukee's streets, schools, and parks — not just the districts with the most political clout. Every zip code in this district deserves to thrive.
My plan →
Sam's plan
- Restructure state funding for MPS — put teachers and students first, not administrators
- Fix our roads, bridges, and infrastructure — District 9 deserves the same investment as the suburbs
- Stand behind local law enforcement — support the officers who protect our families every day
- Fund community health centers and mental health services in every neighborhood
Next generation
A new generation of leaders — ready to serve.
Government Accountability
People in this district are tired of politicians who disappear after Election Day. Sam will be a visible, accessible representative — holding town halls, publishing his votes, and making sure constituents always know where he stands and how to reach him.
My plan →
Sam's plan
- Hold regular town halls in every neighborhood — show up before Election Day, not just after
- Publish a full voting record with a plain-language explanation for every major vote
- Fight for fair maps — end the gerrymandering that silences District 9 voters
- Reject divisive rhetoric — lead with facts, respect, and results
